Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- Riley Jones played Mark Edwards in two episodes across the first two seasons, before joining the main cast in Season 3 in 2013.
- Claire Caldwell appeared in one episode as Captain Rebecca Shepard in Season 2 in 2012, and a year later, in Season 3, joined the main cast as a detective.
- The series is based on the works of British writer Ann Cleaves, which are set in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, where she herself lived for over 20 years.
