What's left behind the scenes

The creators of the series noted that they were inspired by the crime films 'The French Connection' (1971) and 'Taxi Driver' (1976). They wanted to present the series to the audience primarily as a crime drama, and secondarily as a superhero show.
As far back as 1983, the ABC network planned to film a 'Daredevil' series. Sterling Silliman even wrote a script for the pilot episode, but it was never aired on television.
Director Joss Whedon strongly insisted that Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe should have originally been a feature film rather than a series. However, he later admitted that some comics are indeed better suited for the series format.
In the fourth episode of the second season, the Punisher is tortured by Irish gangsters. Frank's boots are drilled through, leaving them covered in blood. At the end of the episode, when the Punisher is being transported on a gurney, his boots are intact and clean, without a drop of blood.
Throughout the series, the MetLife building can be seen during panoramic shots of Manhattan. The presence of this building is a plot hole, as the Avengers Tower (formerly Stark Tower) should be located in its place. According to the MCU storyline, Stark purchased the MetLife building and rebuilt it into the tower.
Producer Joe Quesada wanted Charlie Cox to play the role of Daredevil even before Marvel Studios regained the rights to the character.
Initially, Drew Goddard was hired as the executive producer for the first season of the series, but he left the project after being appointed director of the Marvel Studios feature film 'Sinister Six' (2016). Ultimately, his place in the series was taken by Steven S. DeKnight.
In the second episode of the first season, the protagonist's father faces an opponent named Creel in a fateful boxing match. The posters announcing the fight reveal the opponent's full name: Carl «Crusher» Creel. This name belongs to a Marvel Comics supervillain known as the Absorbing Man. This character also appears in person in another series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' (2013), where it is mentioned that he was a boxer in the past.
Michael C. Hall was considered for the role of Daredevil.
Despite the fictional plot, there are people in the real world who, being blind, use the effect of echolocation to navigate their surroundings. There is an entire organization that helps blind people learn to use this effect. The organization's president, Daniel Kish, who lost both eyes at a young age, clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of this method by navigating the city on a bicycle.
The events of the series take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
