Short description

What's left behind the scenes

Wilmer Valderrama was so excited for the chance to work with Robert Rodriguez that he agreed to the shoot without even asking what role he would be playing. He played Carlos Madrigal in the series.
The series creator, Robert Rodriguez, had dreamed of working with Demi Lovato ever since she auditioned for a role in his 2003 sci-fi film 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over'. In the second season of the series, the role of Maya was written specifically for Lovato, and the episode was directed by Rodriguez himself. Lovato's performance impressed him so much that in 2015, he directed the music video for her song 'Confident'.
Sheriff Earl McGraw, played by Don Johnson, is the same character who appeared in the films "Kill Bill," "Planet Terror," and "Death Proof," where he was played by Michael Parks.
The Fuller family was named after director Samuel Fuller.
Sex Machine's gun (Jake Busey) can be seen in the Musician's case in the film 'Desperado' (1995), which was also directed by Robert Rodriguez.
Eiza González shared that after landing the role, she dyed her hair brunette and gained weight, as she had just finished filming a soap opera where she played an extremely thin character.
