Short description

Banshee is an American drama television series set in a small town in Pennsylvania Amish country and features an enigmatic ex-con posing as a murdered sheriff who imposes his own brand of justice while also cooking up plans that serve his own interests.

What's left behind the scenes

Every actor involved in the series was provided with a personal trainer to help them get into shape for filming.
The Hopewells' large white house is located in Gastonia, North Carolina.
After three seasons of grueling filming, Antony Starr asked the show's writers to reduce the number of fight scenes for him in the fourth season.
The combination lock shown in the opening credits of each episode of the 1st season is opened with the combination 42 15 68. In the 2nd season, the combination changes to 62 07 30 99.
Filming took place in Vandergrift County, Pennsylvania.
According to the script, the character Odette Annable was intended to join the main cast of the 3rd season; however, due to commitments to other projects, the actress was unable to dedicate that much time to filming the series. The script had to be rewritten, and Nola was "killed off" at the beginning of the season.
Brock, played by Matt Servitto, was supposed to die at the end of the second season, but the writers and producers liked the actor's performance so much that they 'spared' him. The original plan was for Brock to discover Lucas's secret, but die in a clash with the Ukrainian mafia before he could share his discovery with anyone.
Antony Starr was injured while filming a fight on the very first day of shooting. The actor required stitches on his lip, and his swollen lips subsequently had to be digitally removed from the shots using CGI.
