Short description

What's left behind the scenes

In reality, Master Sergeant Sixta (portrayed on screen by Neil Jones) received 30 years in prison for the molestation of two underage foster daughters in California. Additionally, he was convicted in Arizona for the molestation of another child and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Filming took place in South Africa, Namibia, and Mozambique.
The tattoo on the back of Sergeant Colbert, played by Alexander Skarsgård, is based on a landscape by Spanish artist Luis Royo. In the miniseries, the graphic image was recreated by makeup artists.
