Short description
Newlywed Melinda Gordon tries to help the dead communicate with loved ones, but sometimes the messages she receives are intense and confusing. Most of Melinda's efforts involve resolving conflicts that are preventing the spirits from passing over.

What's left behind the scenes
- Season 1, episode 9: Melinda drives to Kirk's (at the 20-minute mark) in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, although she arrives at the location in her own Jeep Liberty.
- In the fourth season, Jim Clancy's soul moves into Sam Lucas's body. With Sam Lucas's appearance and documents, Jim enrolls in medical school. In the fifth season, Jim is already a doctor, but his badge features a photo of Jim rather than Sam, and he is referred to as 'Doctor Clancy' at the hospital.
