Short description

To carry out the biggest heist in history, a mysterious man called The Professor recruits a band of eight robbers who have a single characteristic: none of them has anything to lose. Five months of seclusion - memorizing every step, every detail, every probability - culminate in eleven days locked up in the National Coinage and Stamp Factory of Spain, surrounded by police forces and with dozens of hostages in their power, to find out whether their suicide wager will lead to everything or nothing.

What's left behind the scenes

Denver's laugh was written into the plot before Jaime Lorente was cast in the role. The script simply required a creepy laugh, which every actor auditioning for the part interpreted in their own way.
The show's creators did not receive permission to film at the actual Royal Mint of Spain, so they filmed the building of the Spanish National Research Council instead. Interior scenes were filmed in a studio.
In Season 1, Episode 12, when Tokyo fires the machine gun, there is a close-up of the ammunition belt showing that it is loaded with blanks.
The episodes were filmed in chronological order, and the cast members were given scripts and lines only for the current episode so that no one would know what happened next.
The character nicknamed Tokyo borrowed a lot, from her hairstyle to her clothing style, from Natalie Portman's portrayal of Mathilda in the movie 'Léon: The Professional'.
In the opening credits of the 3rd episode, the words 'una mattina mi sono alzato' are written above the doorway. This is a phrase from the folk song 'Bella Ciao,' which is featured several times throughout the series.
