What's left behind the scenes
- Special cinema-grade silicone was used for special effects makeup—cuts, bruises, open fractures, and surgeries. Once, cinema silicone ran out across all of Moscow; to avoid halting production, the show's makeup artists had to buy silicone products from a sex shop and melt them down.
- Doctor Bragin's medical caps were specially ordered from America.
- From Episode 6 to 9, Emma refers to the firefighter who wanted to start a relationship with her as Sergey at some times and Nikolay at others.
- Emma's pregnancy is not fake. During filming, actress Laura Keosayan was actually expecting a child.
- To ensure that the actors 'cut' and 'stitched' on camera like professionals, consultants from the Sklifosovsky Research Institute—actual surgeons—closely supervised the process, spending nearly two months day and night on set.
- Before filming began, the series' cast practiced suturing on broiler chickens.
- A special silicone mannequin was created for the series to serve as the 'body' for the actors during operating room scenes. In total, more than 80 surgeries were 'performed' on the mannequin.
- More than 500 costumes were sewn specifically for the series. Additionally, over 1,000 pairs of gloves and 800 medical masks were used during filming, while 100 gowns were simply ruined, drenched in liters of artificial blood.
- In Season 1, Episode 6, at the five-minute mark, Bragin has a bandage on his left arm, but the suicide bomber only cuts his arm in that same spot at the 13-minute mark.
