What's left behind the scenes

Contrary to how it is typically portrayed in movies and on television, Martin Riggs, played by Clayne Crawford, kicks down doors by turning his back to them and striking with his feet. This is actually psychologically easier and more reliable for achieving the desired result.
At the beginning of the pilot episode, Riggs' wife waves hello to a neighbor watering the lawn in front of his house. The house behind the neighbor is the same one where Roger Murtaugh's family lived in the Lethal Weapon film series.
One of the TV series' directors, Steve Boyum, worked as a stuntman in Richard Donner's action films "Lethal Weapon 2" (1989) and "Lethal Weapon 3" (1992).
Captain Avery Brooks shares his name with the actor who played station commander Benjamin Sisko in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999).
The resumption of the series' third season was complicated by the on-set behavior of Clayne Crawford (who played Martin Riggs). Crawford was constantly reprimanded for creating an unfavorable working atmosphere during filming, resulting in other participants (both actors and crew members) not wanting to be on set with him. Admonishments did not help, and the showrunners seriously considered hiring another actor. In May 2018, Sean William Scott joined the series as Wesley Cole.
The scene featuring a girl falling from a high-rise building in the episode "New Year's Toys, Glocks, and Poppers" is borrowed from Richard Donner's action film "Lethal Weapon" (1987).
