Short description

What's left behind the scenes

In the pilot episode, at 14:32, a helicopter fires two missiles at the Nathan James DDG-151, hitting just below the bridge on the starboard side. At 14:35, damage to the ship's hull is clearly visible. At 14:50, another missile hits the port side. However, by 15:00, a close-up shows that the Nathan James DDG-151 is unharmed, and the last digit of the hull number is seven instead of one.
In the second episode, Captain Tom Chandler shoots Amir, the leader of the liberated prisoners, in the head, and blood splatters from the back of his skull. However, a frame-by-frame analysis reveals that there is no entry wound.
According to paragraph No. 453 of the Naval Regulations of the Russian Federation, petty officers and sailors are prohibited from smoking on the navigating (captain's) bridge. However, at the 42nd minute of the second episode, we see a first-class petty officer smoking on the bridge of a Russian vessel.
The faces of the Russian special forces operators who rappelled from the helicopters in the pilot episode are concealed by outdated American M40 gas masks. Notably, the filters are missing from the masks.
Helicopters from the American companies Sikorsky Aircraft and Bell Helicopter Textron are not in the inventory of the Russian Federation's Air Force, although the pilot episode suggests otherwise.
In the fourth episode, Captain Tom Chandler orders drones to be deployed in all directions. Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, to which the fictional USS Nathan James belongs, are not equipped with UAVs.
The Russian Kirov-class nuclear-powered guided-missile cruiser (Admiral Ushakov) does not carry nuclear weapons on board.
