Short description

H2O: Just Add Water revolves around three teenage girls facing everyday teen problems with an added twist: they cope with the burden of growing a giant fin and transforming into mermaids whenever they come in contact with water.

What's left behind the scenes

JMB FX studio crafted 5 tails — one custom-made to the measurements of each mermaid.
Underwater filming took place at Sea World park. Cleo's workplace was also filmed there.
In season 1, when Miss Chatham tells the story of the three medallions, she says that Louise, Gracie, and Julia gave them to each other as a sign of friendship. But in the second season, Max reveals that he made the medallions to somehow help Gracie cope with the fact that she is a mermaid.
The girls catch Ronnie, an escaped dolphin, by attracting him with the smell of squid. Interesting fact: cetaceans, which include dolphins, completely lack a sense of smell and taste.
A single tail weighs 12-15 kilograms.
The first season of the series was broadcast in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Filming began at 6:30 AM every day except Saturday and Sunday. During a 10-hour workday, 5-7 minutes of final footage were shot.
Nate, a bully, boasts about having a black belt in karate. Nevertheless, he knocked Lewis off his feet in the cafe using an aikido move.
At the beginning of the first episode of the first season, Zane tells Cleo that someone stole his starter. However, what Ricky later installed on the boat engine was a spark plug.
The scales on each tail were applied by hand.
Emma freezes a doorknob in the first season, although, in principle, she cannot do this yet, as there is no water in the knob and she only acquires the power to freeze objects in the second season.
