Short description

What's left behind the scenes

Freddie Highmore recounted that he was initially considered too young for the role of Shaun and was rejected. The producers told him they needed an actor who was "at least 25," to which he replied, "But I am 25."
The hospital building is actually a city hall building in Surrey, Canada.
Nicholas Gonzalez, who played Dr. Neil Melendez, comes from a family of medical professionals. His father and brother are surgeons. Gonzalez's brother served as a consultant on set, although his name does not appear in the credits.
