Short description

What's left behind the scenes

The role of Rebecca went to actress Mandy Moore after auditions and screen tests, which she was invited to do by the series creator Dan Fogelman. Moore and Fogelman know each other from their joint work on the feature-length animated film Tangled (Nathan Greno and Byron Howard, 2010).
Applying makeup to Mandy Moore to transform her into an older Rebecca took 3 hours.
On the wall of Kate's living room hangs the exact same painting as on the wall of Jules's living room in the series 'Cougar Town' (2009-2015).
Boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal can be seen on a grocery store shelf. The story takes place in 1980, but this product didn't hit the market until 1984.
When Chrissy Metz came to audition for the role of Kate, she had only 81 cents in her bank account.
