What's left behind the scenes
- The idea to create an animated series about a girl who imagines herself as a princess first occurred to screenwriter and producer Daron Nefcy. She pitched the idea to Disney, but the management insisted on several changes. As a result, Star was made a princess from another dimension living on Earth, which became the starting point for the script.
