Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- The series is based on one of the most famous witch hunts in history—the trials in the New England town of Salem from February 1692 to May 1693. About 20 people, mostly women, were executed on charges of witchcraft. The Salem trials are among the most well-known instances of mass hysteria in US history.
- In episode 9 of season 3, a painting by Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) titled 'Still Life with Skull' is shown above the fireplace in Anne's house. The series takes place in the 17th century, but the painting was not created until 1898.
- Some of the witch's phrases are spoken in English, but they are played backward.
