Short description

A high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. Lauren Lee Smith was initially cast as Kelly, but the role was ultimately played by Natalie Brown.
Mrs. Martinez smokes Morley cigarettes. This is a fictional brand of cigarettes that has been very popular in television projects since the 1960s, when it first appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's (1899-1980) psychological horror "Psycho" (1960). It was this brand of cigarettes that was preferred by the Smoking Man, a character and the primary antagonist of the series "The X-Files" (1993-2002).
Guillermo del Toro left the series' writing staff in the second season, primarily due to disagreements with Carlton Cuse.
