What's left behind the scenes

Stanley Kowalski and Stella Kowalski—the names of these characters are borrowed from Tennessee Williams' (1911-1983) play "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1947).
At one point, "Due South" was the most popular Canadian series (which also takes place in Canada) on American airwaves. After the first two seasons, production had to take a break until the show's creators secured the necessary funding.
Throughout the series, the main character, played by Paul Gross, repeatedly suffers a wide variety of injuries and wounds; however, these mishaps only happen to him when he is not wearing his hat.
The main character wears the red uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This is ceremonial dress worn only on special occasions, yet the main character wears it constantly.
