What's left behind the scenes

Christopher Lloyd's character goes to a psychiatric hospital. This is a reference to the drama "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (Miloš Forman, 1975), in which Lloyd played Max Taber.
Appearing from the 1st episode of season 4, Dolph Lundgren utters several phrases spoken by his character in Sylvester Stallone's sports drama "Rocky IV" (1985). While interrogating John Casey, played by Adam Baldwin, he says: "I will break you." In another scene, he says the phrase: "If they die, they die."
At the end of the series, Lawrence Kasdan's western "Silverado" (1985) is shown on television.
In the 10th episode of season 4, Chuck's mother, played by Linda Hamilton, tells him: "Come with me if you want to live." This is a quote from the sci-fi action film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (James Cameron, 1991), where these same words are spoken to Hamilton's character.

By the end of the second season, declining ratings and competition from shows on other channels led the creators to believe it was time to end 'Chuck.' However, a fan-led campaign in support of the series led NBC to renew it for a third season in collaboration with the Subway fast-food chain. The threat of cancellation continued to loom over the show at the end of each subsequent season. The fifth season, which aired from October 28, 2011, to January 27, 2012, was the last. The season finale lasted two hours.
In the 9th episode of season 4, Richard Chamberlain plays the Belgian. This character intends to strip Chuck of his memories, emotions, and personality itself to turn him into the perfect spy. In 1988, Roger Young's thriller "The Bourne Identity" was released, in which Chamberlain played a secret agent who had completely lost his memory.
