What's left behind the scenes
- Tom Hardy's character speaks Fante, one of the dialects of the Akan language.
- Tom Hardy said that he really wanted to film some nude scenes, but he understood that scenes in the vein of the BBC series "Game of Thrones" (2011) would not be permitted, so he filmed the actors in loincloths. Judging by some leaked behind-the-scenes footage, he also filmed the actors fully nude, but all these scenes were cut during editing.
- Steven Knight agreed to write the screenplay for the series on the condition that Tom Hardy would play the lead role in his existential drama "Locke" (2013).
