What's left behind the scenes
- The opening sequence for the series was filmed by Pavel Kostomarov, the cinematographer of the film 'How I Spent This Summer'.
- All filming took place in Perm.
- The friends filmed the pilot episode of 'Real Boys' in September 2009 in Perm using an amateur camera. They filmed it with no budget, borrowing cars from acquaintances and an apartment from their friend Anton Zaitsev. Kolyan and his buddies got their athletic jackets and tracksuits from the storage shelves at home. By the way, the guys didn't reshoot the pilot—we saw the first episode in its original form.
