Short description
Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. is a former pilot turned lawyer working for the military's JAG (Judge Advocate General) division, the elite legal wing of officers that prosecutes and defends those accused of military-related crimes. He works closely with Lt. Col. Sarah Mackenzie, and together they do what needs to be done to find the truth.

What's left behind the scenes
- Sarah McKenzie only appeared in the second season of the series; initially, Rabb's partners were played by Andrea Parker and Tracy Needham.
- The series' plot incorporated elements of real-life events: military operations during the Bosnian War, the USS Cole incident, the September 11 attacks, and the subsequent military actions.
- David James Elliott and Nancy Chambers are husband and wife.
- In episode 3-24, 'From Russia with Love,' at the end of the episode, the Su-27 flown by Harm and Mackenzie shoots down two Russian fighters—MiG-28s from the movie Top Gun (which were actually American Northrop F-5E Tiger IIs in reality). In episode 6-01, 'Legacy Part 1,' three Russian helicopters are shown at the beginning. These are the same helicopters that portrayed Mi-24s in the movie Red Dawn (which were actually modified SA 330 Pumas).
- In episode 6-15, 'Iron Coffin,' the characters investigate the sinking of the Russian submarine Vladivostok, which was allegedly torpedoed by accident by an American vessel; however, it is revealed that the submarine was destroyed during tests of the new Shkval-2 torpedo, which hit the submarine itself due to a guidance failure. This plot combines two submarine disasters: the sinking of the Kursk (where a theory existed that it was torpedoed by an American submarine) and the loss of the US Navy submarine USS Scorpion (SSN-589), which according to one theory was destroyed when a live torpedo launched during exercises hit the submarine itself.
