What's left behind the scenes
- The 10th season had the lowest rating. This happened because the writers departed from the humor and gags that were traditional in previous seasons.
- In later episodes, a character named Philadelphia Collins appeared, based on Phil Collins. Some episodes even contain references to Collins' work; however, the show's creators deliberately avoided making too many references to avoid paying Collins for copyrights.
- Jim Lahiffe, played by John Dunsworth, is portrayed as a bitter drunk in almost every episode. In reality, the actor did not drink at all, and in the series, he drank cold tea posing as alcohol.
- Bubbles almost never holds his head straight because Mike Smith has poor vision while wearing glasses.
- Juliana is constantly shown with a glass of rum and coke in hand, with ice clinking in the glass. He always manages not to spill his drink, even when it seems impossible. In the 7th episode of the 2nd season, Julian even climbs out of an overturned car with a full glass of rum.
- Sarah Dunsworth is the daughter of John Dunsworth (1946-2017), who played Jim Lahey.
