Short description
When her life comes to an abrupt end, George discovers that death is nothing like she thought it would be. Recruited to collect the souls of others as they die, she suddenly finds herself an unwilling participant in a line of work she never knew existed: Grim Reaping!

What's left behind the scenes
- The pilot episode took a month to film, after which each subsequent episode took no more than a week.
- The plot of the series was inspired by Piers Anthony's novel 'On a Pale Horse' (1983); however, the series features several Reapers, whereas the novel features Death as a single entity.
- The plot is set in Seattle, USA, but was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. The creators of the series didn't even bother to hide street names, company names, etc., from the camera. In one episode, the flags of Canada and the province of British Columbia can be seen on screen.
- Three horned frogs (a species of frog native to Argentina, Uruguay, and southern Brazil) were used in the series.
