Short description
Raised in a secret facility built for experimenting on children, Jarod is a genius who can master any profession and become anyone he has to be. When he realizes as an adult that he's actually a prisoner and his captors are not as benevolent as he's been told, he breaks out. While trying to find his real identity, Jarod helps those he encounters and tries to avoid the woman sent to retrieve him.

What's left behind the scenes
- In the second episode of Season 1, while running a simulation, Jarod finds a solution to save the crew of the Apollo 13 spacecraft by using the moon's gravity to swing around it and direct the ship back. This strategy itself is depicted in the film "Apollo 13" (1995).
- In the third episode of the first season, while looking at stereograms, Jarod says they depict a penguin and a sphinx, with the penguin riding a camel. If you look closely, you can see that the first stereogram depicts dinosaurs, and the second depicts a sports car.
- The story told in episode 19 of the third season about the 'brothers' Joshua and the kidnapped boy Benx has a continuation—it was filmed for the series 'Profiler' (1996-2000), where Jarod appears in one episode.
