Short description
When Harry Potter's name emerges from the Goblet of Fire, he becomes a competitor in a grueling battle for glory among three wizarding schools—the Triwizard Tournament. But since Harry never submitted his name for the Tournament, who did? Now Harry must confront a deadly dragon, fierce water demons and an enchanted maze only to find himself in the cruel grasp of He Who Must Not Be Named.

- Mike Newell became the lowest-paid director in the history of the Potter films: he agreed to work for a fee of only 1 million dollars. For comparison, Chris Columbus's fee for 'The Philosopher's Stone' was 10 million plus a percentage of the total box office.
- The film is based on J.K. Rowling's novel 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' (2000).
- Inspired by Quentin Tarantino's idea of splitting his work 'Kill Bill' into two parts, the producers wanted to do the same; however, director Mike Newell shut down these proposals immediately. To a large extent, the studio's concerns were that it was simply impossible to fit a 734-page book into three hours of screen time.
