Short description

The controlled explosion of an atomic bomb in the Arctic Circle awakens a frozen dinosaur that will wreak havoc in New York City.

What's left behind the scenes

The film is based on Ray Bradbury's short story “The Fog Horn,” published several years earlier in “The Saturday Evening Post.”
This is the first film where the monster appears due to an atomic bomb.
In translations, the fathoms in the title were changed to miles and nautical miles, sazhens and nautical sazhens.
Along with "King Kong" and "The Lost World," Redosaurus inspired the Japanese to create Godzilla.
