Short description

It was an ingenious enough plan: rob the Riviera Casino's count room during an Elvis impersonator convention. But Thomas Murphy decided to keep all the money for himself and shot all his partners, including recently-freed ex-con Michael Zane. With $3.2 million at stake, the Marshals Service closing in, Michael must track down Murphy.

What's left behind the scenes

During filming, Kurt Russell got carried away and pinched Courtney Cox so hard that she couldn't sit comfortably for a long time. This shot was cut.
After filming wrapped, Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell disagreed about the overall tone and atmosphere of the film. The studio allowed each actor to create their own edit, after which both versions were shown to focus groups. It turned out that Russell's version strongly emphasized the comedic aspects of the plot and the relationship between Russell's character and Courtney Cox's character, while Costner's version focused on the action scenes.
