Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- Des was Nilsen's nickname. Screenwriter and producer Luke Neal explained in an interview that this is how the protagonist Dennis Nilsen (played by David Tennant) referred to himself. To outsiders, Nilsen was a union leader; he was seen as a pleasant man and a defender of the oppressed. He invented the persona of Des himself, using it to lure people to his home and kill them.
- The film is based on Brian Masters' 1985 novel 'Killing for Company'. Masters interviewed Nielsen in his cell.
