What's left behind the scenes
- According to showrunner John Harwitz (who was also one of the directors and writers), actor C. Thomas Howell did indeed appear nude in the pilot episode. The actor's contract originally included a clause stating that he would not have to perform nude, but he offered to do so himself after reading the script.
- According to Shelley Hennig, she initially refused to participate in the project upon seeing that she was to play a CIA agent, automatically assuming it would be a drama when she wanted to do something comedic. A few days later, she was asked why she had declined, as the character of Ava she was offered was so similar to her. The actress was informed that it would be a comedy, and she finally read the entire script. After that, Hennig immediately contacted the producers and gave her consent. She was told that the role would require her to undress and perform in an erotic scene, but Hennig had just filmed her first erotic scene of her acting career in Russell Mulcahy's project Werewolf: The Movie (2023), so the thought of being nude on camera no longer bothered her. Regardless, she only requested to be filmed from behind, so the plan for the erotic scene had to be only slightly adjusted.
- Initially, Amalia Yue was cast as Maya, but she left the project before filming began, and Kimi Rutledge was cast in her place.
- The scene where Maya, played by Kimi Rutledge, seduces Nick Zano—who played Chad, a character who once mentioned his crush on actress Elisha Cuthbert—is a reference to a scene in Brian Robbins' sports comedy 'Can't Hardly Wait' (1998), where Cuthbert's character says the same phrase in an attempt to seduce someone. Rutledge later admitted that she only learned about this Easter egg after filming had concluded.
- The limousine driver was played by DeVore White, who played a role identical to the one he had in John McTiernan's action movie Die Hard (1988).
