What's left behind the scenes

The main characters were named alphabetically in sequence: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth.
Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick and series creator Chris Van Dusen decided to incorporate modern elements and colors into the Bridgertons' costumes to give the show a contemporary feel. This meant they could not rent costumes, and everything had to be created from scratch. For the first season, Mirojnick and her assistants created 7,500 pieces of clothing.
Filming took place in historic English houses, and actors were supervised even during intimate scenes to ensure no furnishings were damaged. Strict rules regarding what was and wasn't permitted were established for the crew and the actors involved in the production.
