What's left behind the scenes
- James Caviezel was initially invited to play the lead role, but he left the project due to creative differences with the show's writers, and David Boreanaz was cast in the role instead.
- Over 75 veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces were hired to perform stunts and act as extras.
- Tyler Gray, who played Trent, is a former U.S. Army Ranger. He served as a sniper in the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Gray retired in 2005 due to injuries sustained in an IED explosion.
- David Boreanaz (who played James) was offered a role in the series 'SEAL Team' shortly after he finished working on the series 'Bones' (2005-2017), but he initially declined the offer. The offer was later made again in the hope that he would change his mind, and the actor did indeed accept.
