Initially, the Taelons were supposed to look like tall, hairless creatures with purple skin, wearing silver jumpsuits and spacesuits.
The game that Renee and Liam play at the very beginning of the second episode of the fourth season closely resembles the three-dimensional chess from the series 'Star Trek' (1966-1969), which was also a project by Gene Roddenberry.
