Short description

The entire Star Wars galaxy gets completely mixed up when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling, unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig becoming the hero who can put all the pieces back together.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The animators came up with a LEGO version of hyperspace, which required the creation of a starfield and a hyperspeed effect. This creative approach helped establish a unique LEGO atmosphere.
  • Initially, Sig and his brother Dev (voiced by Gaten Matarazzo and Tony Revolori, respectively) were livestock herders who tended to nerfs (a species of animal). This profession was only briefly mentioned in Irvin Kershner's sci-fi film 'Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back' (1980). Fenessa, the home planet of Sig and Dev, was first mentioned in 2003 in an online article about the computer RPG 'Star Wars: Wizards of the Coast.' It was then revealed that nerfs inhabit Fenessa.
  • The main character, Sig, is voiced by Gaten Matarazzo, known to viewers for his role as Dustin Henderson in the Netflix series 'Stranger Things' (2016-).
  • The surname of the character voiced by Marsai Martin (Scala) is a reference to a vintage line of LEGO sets released in 1979.
  • Jedi Bob (voiced by Bobby Moynihan) is based on an unnamed Jedi Knight minifigure included in the 'Attack of the Clones Republic Gunship' LEGO set released in 2002. Fans began calling this figure Jedi Bob, and the same name appeared in the 2009 book 'LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary.' Moynihan recorded his character's lines while keeping the Bob figure in his pocket.
