What's left behind the scenes
- The series creators petitioned the U.S. administration and the British government to allow them to film on location rather than on sets, including the new U.S. embassy building and the office of the British Foreign Secretary—permissions that are granted extremely rarely, especially for an American project. The only permission they failed to obtain was for filming at the U.S. Ambassador's residence in London, so they had to film at a country residence instead.
