What's left behind the scenes
- Olaf Haraldsson holds the title Rex Perpetuus Norvegiae, which translates as "eternal king of Norway."
- Filming began in early October 2020 in Wicklow, Ireland, where the series 'Vikings' had previously been filmed. Production was suspended due to several positive COVID-19 tests among the crew; however, it resumed a few days later after the results proved to be false positives.
- According to official sources, the series takes place 100 years after the events of 'Vikings' (2013-2020), which were set in the late 790s and early 800s. However, Cnut the Great's invasion of England (confirmed by numerous sources) occurred in the 1010s, nearly 200 years after the events of 'Vikings'.
