Short description

The hot-headed young D'Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Instead of the Louvre, they filmed at the “Frstbischfliche Residenz”, which is the Residence of the Bishop in Würzburg in the state of Bavaria. It was founded in 1680, while Versailles was built almost half a century after the period in which the film's events unfold.
  • The hall where (in the film) the entrance to Leonardo da Vinci's hideaway is located is actually situated in the residence of the Bavarian kings in Munich and is called the "antiquarium".
