Short description

Soon after being named the new leader of his high school's gang system, Kujo grows bored with the violence and hatred that surround him. He wants desperately to abandon his post… but his once-enviable position of power has a strange way of making him feel powerless.

What's left behind the scenes

Embroidered on Kimura's jacket (played by Yusuke Oshiba) is an excerpt from a poem, which the character recites in voiceover as he gets into the car.
Director and screenwriter Toshiaki Toyoda wanted to convey the passage of time. Instead of showing time passing through an instant cut from one shot to another, he filmed the scene with Aoki (played by Hirofumi Arai) continuously for several hours. The actor stood almost motionless as the day slowly faded toward sunset. According to production notes, the shoot lasted 6–8 hours.
