Short description
The events of the war in 1944, from the Blue Hills to Sõrve Peninsula. Shown through the eyes of Estonian soldiers who had to pick sides and fight against fellow brothers. Choices have to be made, not only by the soldiers, but also by their loved ones.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film was submitted for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, but it did not make the shortlist.
- The first part of filming took place in October 2013. It continued in early summer 2014, when filming also occurred in the Sinimäe Hills.
- The film was funded by the Estonian Film Academy, the Estonian Ministry of Defence, and various private investments.
