Short description
Ever since her father drilled into her head that monogamy isn't realistic, magazine writer Amy has made promiscuity her credo. As much as she enjoys an uninhibited life free of commitment, Amy is really in a rut. While writing a profile about charming and successful sports doctor Aaron Conners, she finds herself actually falling in love for the first time -- and what's more, Aaron seems to really like her too. Amy starts to wonder if it's time to clean up her act and face her fears.

- Norman Lloyd, who played a supporting role, was 100 years old at the time of filming. Lloyd said that most of his lines were improvised, and that this was the first time in his career that he had improvised on set.
- Judd Apatow offered Amy Beth Schumer to work on this project after seeing her interview on Howard Stern's show. Judd liked how easily and humorously she spoke about her father's illness.
- Chris Rock was on set when scenes with LeBron James were being filmed, and he came up with several lines for James that ultimately made it into the movie.
- All scenes with LeBron James were filmed in one week.
- Bill Hader lost 9 kilograms for his role.
- On July 23, 2015, during a screening of the film in Lafayette, Louisiana, a 59-year-old man killed two people and wounded nine others before shooting himself.
- The characters talk about seeing Billy Joel with Elton John in New York at Shea Stadium. They never actually performed there together.
- Before Amy tries to use the trampoline, she changes her high-heeled shoes for flat-soled boots. However, once she is on the mat, she is wearing high heels again.
- The role in the film could have gone to Barkhad Abdi, but in the end, LeBron James was cast instead.
- When Norman Lloyd and Judd Apatow met for lunch to discuss the role of Lloyd, Apatow was very surprised that the 99-year-old actor had driven to the meeting on his own. Later, Apatow was even more impressed by the actor's independence – he flew to New York alone, without any assistance, and got to the set. The actor also never demanded special treatment and, moreover, didn’t even require breaks during filming.
- As Amy and Stephen walk to the cinema, the marquee displays actual Indian films: "Ballet 422" (2014), "Hank and Asha" (2013), "Stay Alone" (2014), "Love in Time of Monsters" (2014), and "Precisely at 3 o'clock" (1987).
- Aaron's first kiss story is actually the real story of Bill Hader's first kiss.
