Short description

The Dynamic Duo faces four super-villains who plan to hold the world for ransom with the help of a secret invention that instantly dehydrates people.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film is based on comics by Bob Kane about the superheroes Batman and Robin.
  • Adam West received a fee of $100,000 for his role as Batman.
  • Lee Meriwether, the winner of the 1955 Miss America pageant, replaced Julie Newmar in the role of Catwoman in the television series of the same name.
  • The film was shot between two seasons of the series, with the second season filmed before this film but released on screens only the following year.
  • At the end of the film, one of the convention delegates bangs a shoe on the table. This is, naturally, a parody of Nikita Khrushchev, who did the same at the United Nations General Assembly in 1960.
  • Reginald Denny's final film.
  • Bert Ward's first film role.
  • The film was shot on the wave of success of the first season of the television series of the same name, “Batman” (1966-1968).
