Short description
A mentally unhinged factory worker must decide whether to listen to his talking cat and become a killer, or follow his dog's advice to keep striving for normalcy.
What's left behind the scenes
- Director Marjane Satrapi intended to use actors to voice the animals, but the lead actor, Ryan Reynolds, convinced her that he alone should voice them. He argued that all these voices were not real, only he could hear them, so it was better to make them variations of his own voice.
- Jerry, played by Ryan Reynolds, exhibits symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder, dissociative identity disorder, and schizophrenia.
- The film's script was included in the so-called "Black List" of 2009 – a list of the most promising, but unrealized projects.
