- More than sixty actors auditioned for the role of Eggsy. The main candidates were Jack O'Connell, John Boyega, and Taron Egerton. The role was also offered to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but he declined. Ultimately, Matthew Vaughn chose Egerton.
