Short description

As the Day of the Dead celebration approaches the barrio of East Los Angeles, Caroline is challenged to control the horrifying legend of her ancestor, the "Candyman".

Shortly before filming began, the distribution company Artisan Entertainment discovered that Sony held the rights to all sequels, as the distributor of the very first film in the franchise in the US ("Candyman”, Bernard Rose, 1992). This was a blunder by Artisan Entertainment's legal department, but fortunately for the company, Sony had absolutely no interest in any sequels, so the filming process was launched.
