Short description
Crash-landed alien Harry takes on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor. Arriving with a secret mission, he starts off living a simple life…but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and asking the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”

What's left behind the scenes
- It was initially intended for Harry Vanderspiegel to be a serious character, as he is in the comics, but Alan Tudyk was so brilliant during the auditions that it was decided to change the character's personality to allow the actor to showcase all of his comedic abilities.
- In the comics, Harry hides his appearance from others using the power of his mind. It was decided that audiences would sympathize more with a human, and Max, played by actor Jude Pren, was created to occasionally show Harry in his true form.
- Initially, Liv was planned to be a character who appeared only occasionally, but the actress in the role, Elizabeth Bowen, had such great chemistry with Corey Reynolds that it was decided to expand her role.
- Applying Alan Tudyk's makeup took two hours.
