What's left behind the scenes
- According to the author of the original anime, Shinichirō Watanabe, he was sent the first episode for review, but he found the viewing experience too tedious and stopped watching after the very first scene.
- Daniella Pineda played Faye wearing a wig. She personally wanted to look more natural, to the point that she even dyed her hair a deep purple. Pineda strongly desired to film this way, but she was not allowed to.
- The actors involved in the project initially trained with representatives from 87eleven Action Design, the same team that worked on the 'John Wick' franchise. During training, Daniela Pineda even met the lead actor, Keanu Reeves. Later, stunt coordinator Allan Poppleton joined the production of the series.
- The costume designers initially wanted to sew a costume for Daniela Pineda's character identical to the one she wore in the anime. However, it soon became clear that performing stunts in that costume was simply impossible, so it had to be replaced with one that was more practical and aesthetic.
- The series premiered on November 19, 2021, on Netflix and was met with scathing reviews (critics disliked everything from the script to the special effects, editing, and action scenes). Less than a month after the first season concluded, the project was canceled.
