What's left behind the scenes

The series takes place 6 years before the birth of Rey.
The Mandalorian's weapon is a modified 1894 Bergman No. 1 pistol. Several other famous types of weaponry from the Star Wars franchise films also have real-life prototypes.
According to screenwriter Dave Filoni, one of the scenes required a large number of stormtroopers, but there weren't enough costumes for everyone. As a result, members of the international fan club '501st Legion' had to be brought in with their own costumes.
