What's left behind the scenes

When the popularity of the 'Doom Patrol' comics declined significantly in 1968, artist Bruno Premiani and editor Murray Boltinoff came up with a marketing stunt. They decided to kill off the entire superhero team at the end of an issue, assuming they would receive tons of letters from fans demanding they be brought back to life and that a sequel be made. However, no one wrote. The superheroes were not revived until ten years later.
Brendan Fraser rarely appeared on screen in the Robotman suit. For a significant amount of time, the character was played by Riley Shanahan.
Before naming the comic 'Doom Patrol,' its creators Arnold Drake and Bob Haney came up with the title 'Legion of the Strange,' but changed it at the last moment.
Initially, the second season was planned to have 10 episodes, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, filming had to be stopped, and the filming of the second season finale was never reached.
