Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- Homelander visits Jon Fogelbaum at Parkwood Estate. It is located in Ontario, Canada. This same estate was used for filming the Tamra Davis comedy Billy Madison.
- Starlight wears white and gold, which corresponds to her Christian roots. White and gold are the colors of the Pope, who appears in these colors on Christmas and Easter. These are also the colors of the Vatican flag, which is used by the Roman Catholic Church.
- One of the characters (Black Noir) has a nut allergy. The writers came up with this idea because the actor playing the role, Nathan Mitchell, has a real-life nut allergy.
- The character known as Translucent is new, created specifically for the series. In the graphic novel, the final member of The Seven was a character named Jack from Jupiter.
- Every T-shirt worn by Jack Quaid's Hughie features either a statement, a slogan, or an image or name of a musical group—exactly as in the graphic novel.
- The final scene of the last episode of Season 2 (where Homelander stands atop the Chrysler Building) was originally filmed for Season 1, but Amazon management rejected the idea of using it at the time.
- The appearance of the character Hughie Campbell in the comic was based on actor Simon Pegg during the time of the series 'Spaced' and the film 'Shaun of the Dead'. When Simon found out, he contacted artist Darick Robertson and thanked him for 'immortalizing him as a comic book character,' and later wrote the introduction for the first volume's collector's edition. Simon was offered the role of Hughie in the series, but he declined, eventually playing the role of Hughie's father.
- The designer of the new costume for the heroine nicknamed Starlight was inspired by the character Edna, the fashion designer from The Incredibles franchise.
- At the 57th minute of the 5th episode of Season 5, Soldier Boy spills Puff Baby oil to neutralize Marathon Man. The name of the oil is a reference to the 2024 legal proceedings against Sean Combs, who used the aliases Puff Daddy and P. Diddy. The oil also references the holy water from the series "Supernatural," where a mixture of water and lubricant was used on screen to represent holy water.
- The screen version contains far less sex, drugs, and profanity than the plot of the comics.
- The name of one of the characters ("Stormfront") coincides with the name of a neo-Nazi internet forum.
- In the fourth episode of the second season, at the 65th minute, when Homelander begins to strangle his 'double,' the double's earring appears and disappears.
