What's left behind the scenes
- It was originally intended that Universal and Red Eagle would produce a film adaptation of Robert Jordan's book series by 2009, but Amazon Studios bought the rights, and the project was shelved.
- Although the original book series consists of 14 novels, Amazon decided to cancel the show after the third season, citing high production costs and declining ratings. Rumor has it that the show's creators anticipated the cancellation, so the final season was structured to give the story a sense of closure.
