What's left behind the scenes

The series was named 'Mighty Boosh' because a friend of Michael Fielding once described his childhood hairstyle that way ('mighty bush'). The expression was liked by Michael's older brother, Noel, and their mutual friends. They then used the phrase as the name for their comedy group.
Relatives and friends of the members often take part in the comedy group's performances. Michael Fielding, who plays Naboo in the series, is the younger brother of Noel Fielding, who plays Vince. The Fielding brothers' mother and their nephew appear in the roles of the shamans.
